Household Mattress Recycling Amnesty 2022

Recycle It

Did you know, the materials from a mattress including steel springs, foam, cloth, and wood can be removed, recycled safely, and reused for other purposes. Do you want to ensure your old mattress does not end up in a landfill and instead materials will be reused? If so, you can avail of free mattress recycling over the coming weeks.

Recycle IT a not-for-profit social enterprise based in Clondalkin is proud to offer a mattress recycling amnesty to residents in South Dublin. Mattress Recycling Drop Off Days will take place on multiple dates starting August 29th, 2022.

Householders will be able to drop off up to 10 mattresses at no cost. Just drop off to Recycle IT, Unit 14/2 Crag Terrace, Clondalkin Industrial Estate, Clondalkin Dublin D22 TK37.

Their teams will be on hand to accept and help with lifting, and moving, clean, dry, unwanted mattresses. Household mattresses of any size will be accepted.

This recycling initiative is operated by Recycle IT with support from South Dublin County Council.
