Local girl Freya McLaughlin from Lucan lands the starring role voicing new animation cartoon Lu & The Bally Bunch and is tipped for huge success. Lu and the Bally Bunch has already gone international after its release just a few weeks ago, most recently has been picked up my CBeebies to air over the next months.
The series premiered earlier this year on Cartoonito UK and LatAm and CBC Kids Canada, and will be launching on Cartoonito US, and across EMEA in the near future. Lu & the Bally Bunch has also been licensed to ABC Australia, TVNZ+ (New Zealand), SVT (Sweden), YLE (Finland), RTÉ (Ireland), and PCCW (Hong Kong).

Freya is a member of Talent agent Thomas Spratt’s Dance-Act-Sing Agency @dasacademy and was only 4 years old when started with Thomas at DAS Academy Lucan and was 8 years old when she first auditioned for the role along with many other children up for it, then all was put on hold for over a year to then have to re audition for the role and was successful to be then offered the as leading role Lu and the excitement to record a whopping 75 episodes over 13 months.

Produced by 9 Story’s award-winning studio Brown Bag Films with the participation of Warner Bros. Discovery and CBC Kids. The show was released to the public only weeks ago with huge success not only internationally and now we got the news that CBeebies will be taking on her show and upcoming launches across the EU, ME and Africa.

Fun Fact: Freya also inspired one of the episodes asking to do a story about horse riding so they wrote one where Lu goes horse fly riding with friends.
