For anyone looking to work in the healthcare or community care sector, An Cosán’s Community Care course is the perfect first step.

This course, which will take place in An Cosán’s Jobstown centre on Mondays from 9.30am to 2.30pm during school term-time starting 11th September, will give participants the skills, confidence and qualification needed for their dream job!

The course, which is FREE thanks to funding from Dublin and Dún Laoghaire Education and Training Board, is also suitable for anyone already working in the healthcare or community care sector, but who is looking to gain a qualification. Participants who successfully complete all eight modules will earn a QQI Level 5 Award.

You don’t have to do all eight, though. You can choose to do however many you wish. Why not try one and see how you get on? Modules include Care Skills, Care of the Older Person, Social Studies, Safety and Health at Work, and Communications.

An Cosán welcomes people from all walks of life, providing a safe space for  learners to develop their skills and increase their confidence so that they can look forward to a brighter future. Additional supports include early years’ provision, IT support, laptop loans, parenting support, and one-to-one tutoring, mentoring and counselling.
