World Down Syndrome Day Celebrated

World Down Syndrome Day 2018

The Down Syndrome Centre celebrating World Down Syndrome Day with the official opening of their new centre in Cabinteely. Kevin Kilbane, long-time supporter of the Centre, along with Johnny Giles, Pat Duffy and Mary Mitchell O’Connor were just some of the people who joined in the celebrations to mark The Down Syndrome Centre’s big day.

Speaking at the event Kevin Kilbane said “It’s my first time visiting the new centre and it’s great to meet all of the families and the kids, it’s a great community here, which I have an interest in for my own family reasons”. Kevin’s oldest daughter Elsie has Down syndrome. The Down Syndrome Centre provides a wide range of early intervention services to children with Down syndrome and supports to families and carers.
