What goes in which bin? Do you know how to recycle right?
Cllr. Emer Higgins presented a successful information session with an expert speaker from a local recycling company in Lucan recently. “We had a really informative and fun night with Clare Donnellan, Recovery & Recycling Executive from Repak. Clare gave us lots of practical tips about how to manage our recycling. It was great to have an expert from the recycling industry support this event,” said Cllr. Emer Higgins.
“We all want to use our bins correctly but often we don’t realise we could be upsetting the recycle stream. Simple things like making sure your recyclables are empty, clean and dry before you put them in your recycle container, can make an enormous difference or if you have placed items inside one another, the machines will not be able to sort them”explained Cllr. Emer Higgins, who is the Dáil candidate in the Lucan and Clondalkin area.
Building on the success of the Lucan event Cllr. Emer Higgins has organised a similar event in Clondalkin, taking place in the Happy Pear on October 30th at 7.30pm.
