The tap dancers, Hannah and Sarah both competed regularly pre-covid but this will be their first entry on a world stage! They both take ballet and tap classes and are on the South Dublin Dance Academy Elite competition team. South Dublin Dance Academy is located in Tallaght village. Hannah is also a company member of the Irish National Youth Ballet.

Both girls recently travelled to Tralee, Kerry for a four day intensive training with the team, held in Siamsa Theatre in Tralee. The auditions were run by Dr. Trish Melton in Kerry who runs her own dance school, Kerry Tap Ensemble. The team going to the championships is made up of tap dancers from all over the country. Hannah and Sarah were the only two dancers selected from Dublin. They busked in the town to help raise money towards the group’s travel. There will be three Irish group dances entered along with a trio, duo and a solo entry. Both Hannah and Sarah will compete as part of the trio.

The girls are currently fundraising for their trip and are open to sponsorships.
