This coming Sunday August 18th Shackleton Park estate in Lucan is hosting a family fun day event. The event is being organised by the Shackleton Residents Committee.
Shackleton Park is a newly built, diverse estate, mixing houses, apartments and duplexes. Residents include first time buyers, movers, private tenants, and social tenants. As a new build estate every resident is new or relatively new to Shackleton Park. The idea behind the event is to bring together residents from all backgrounds to chat and have some fun and to build and strengthen the community bond with all residents.
The response from residents has been tremendous with over 120 households contributing to funding through Go Fund Me. On the day we will have bouncy castles, face painting, party games & a play area for young children. The adults will be invited to continue the fun in a local bar after the daytime festivities end.
The event will be held on the green facing Shackleton Park Road between 2pm-5pm on Sunday August 18th.
