Recently Shackleton Residents Committee held a family day. Despite an unwelcoming weather forecast the event was attended by approximately 200 residents of all ages. Feedback from residents was very positive and it appeared all in attendance enjoyed the festivities. Activities on the day included various inflatables (inc an obstacle course, a bungee run challenge, and a large traditional bouncy castle), a ball pit and soft play for young children, large outdoor Jenga & Connect 4 games, facepainting, and a selection of food from a Gourmet Food Parlour food truck.
The committee were delighted to bring people together for some fun in the sun. The response from residents to the event was fantastic and shows a real appetite to build a strong and healthy community in the estate. Hopefully it can be the beginning of an annual tradition in Shackleton Park.
