SDCC’s Communication Boards at Tymon Park

Tymon Park Board

On the 27th June, the Former Mayor of South Dublin County Council, Councillor Emma Murphy officially launched SDCC’s Communication Boards at Tymon Park.

Speaking at the event Former Mayor Cllr Emma Murphy said “The Public Realm Section of SDCC have installed 13 communication boards in playspaces across our county; following the initial successful pilot project in Corkagh Park. The newly installed boards are at Collinstown Park, Waterstown Park, Griffeen Valley Park, Hermitage Park, Willsbrook Park, Tymon North, Willington and Limekiln, Rathfarnham Castle Park, Greenhills Park, Perrystown, and Kilnamanagh. Going forward we hope to implement these into all future playspaces. Communication Boards are extremely important for inclusive play and allows any child struggling with verbal communication to play the way they wish.”
