Urban Regeneration and Development Fund will bring out Tallaght’s full potential.

Cllr. Charlie O’Connor has said that the plan presented to Councillors in South Dublin County Council recently will transform the Tallaght area if fully implemented.

The plan which was discussed earlier this month proposes to draw €2 billion in funding from the National Development Fund over the next 9 years and will be aligned with the objectives of the National Planning Framework.

The Local Councillor and Chairman of the Tallaght Area Committee commented, “Our county town has huge urban potential to reenergise itself together with the support of the Local Authority.

“There is an abundance of strategically zoned land that should be fully utilised and developed. This plan is very welcome and will hopefully address the need for major investment to improve amenities, housing options and public services.”
