South Dublin County Council’s Women’s Caucus are delighted to invite nominations to their new initiative, “Women of South Dublin”. This initiative aims to highlight and celebrate the amazing women of South Dublin County by creating an exhibition, digital record and social media campaign which will launch for International Women’s Day 2024. The South Dublin County Women’s Caucus are asking the public to nominate South Dublin women who show leadership, enhance their communities or are inspirational, for whatever reason. Nominees can be from any walk of life including the arts, music, sports, or a local community or voluntary group. Nominations can be made through https://consult.sdublincoco.ie/en/content/nominations-open-women-south-dublin between now and 19th November 2023.

A judging panel made up of the Women’s Caucus members and an independent chairperson will put forward the best nominees for an exhibition during the week of International Women’s Day 2024.

Cllr Vicki Casserly, the Chair of the Women’s Caucus said “I’d encourage everyone to look around your community, what woman inspires you, who do you look up to? Who stands out in her own unique way. Women empowering women day to day should be celebrated, so get involved and help us create Women of South Dublin.”
