New pavilion building at Airlie Park, Adamstown

Arlie Park Changing Facilities Ben Ryan

South Dublin County Council is delighted to announce the new pavilion building at Airlie Park, Adamstown. with changing facilities and Tram café.

Adamstown is the first designated Strategic Development Zone in the country; allowing for much needed residential development to be delivered in tandem with the facilities required to support sustainable living. Airlie Park opened in 2023 and is the second of the large-scale public parks planned for the strategic development zone. (Nearby Tandy’s Lane Park was opened in 2021).

Airlie Park is designed with a mix of formal and informal recreation facilities, such as a large (GAA) sized Artificial Grass Pitch, three natural playspaces, tennis courts, half court MUGA, a cricket pitch, alongside high quality soft and hard landscapes. The design incorporated a small stream into the park landscape which augments the biodiversity of the area and augments the western boundary of the park.

Airlie Park has been designed for all abilities and ages, with a range of recreational opportunities that will invite users back for repeat visits and Tram café is a welcome addition to the park facilities.
