Liam Kenny’s 80th Birthday Celebration

As is now customary with the Retired Active Men’s Social (RAMS) they wish to celebrate all members’ 80th and 90th birthdays. Recently, with the celebration of the groups octogenarian, the 80th Birthday of long-standing member, Mr Liam Kenny. Liam has been a loyal and a great supporter to the RAMS since its inception in 2010.

For the past thirteen years Liam has been support to the Church gardening programme, Spring clean up of the village of Newcastle and supporting all RAMS educational tours. The RAMS were delighted to have the  presence of  Mayor of South Dublin County Council Cllr. Alan Edge, to present the birthday “Boy” with a super cake, and a wonderful rendition of Happy Birthday to you, which was sang by the members of The RAMS in Rhythm.

The Mayor congratulated the RAMS on their continued success of their club, their recent award from the Newcastle Lyons Development Trust, for their wonderful contribution to the Community of Newcastle, and of the wonderful work the RAMS in Rhythm do in fundraising for various charities all year round. Wishing the group well in future endeavours.
