Leo Houlding to receive Mountaineering Ireland Lynam Award

Mountaineering Ireland are delighted to announce world renowned climber, alpinist and explorer Leo Houlding will be the recipient of the prestigious Mountaineering Ireland Lynam Award 2022.

Leo has spent his entire adult life exploring the more remote and spectacular corners of the Earth, undertaking extreme adventures, and pioneering modern exploration.

An articulate communicator, Houlding has inspired audiences around the world with his tales of adrenalin-fuelled exploits and climbed many of the toughest and tallest mountains in the world, including Mount Everest.

Murrough McDonagh, CEO of Mountaineering Ireland, said: “We at Mountaineering Ireland believe Leo Houlding is a very worthy recipient of the Lynam Award having accomplished so much at such an early age, and we look forward to a captivating lecture on Thursday, 8th December.”

The Lynam Lecture & Award 2022 takes place in the Chartered Accountants Ireland Lecture Hall, 47 – 49 Pearse Street, Dublin 2. Doors open at 6:30pm with the lecture commencing at 7:30pm sharp.

Ticket cost per entry is €5 for Mountaineering Ireland members and students, and €10 for non-members.
