On the 5 of July, EU Commissioner Mairead McGuinness welcomed a group of 22 Irish primary school teachers to the European Commission in Brussels. The teachers participate in the Blue Star Programme, teaching Irish primary school children all about the EU in a fun and interactive way. This was part of a study visit organised by the European Commission Representation in Ireland, in partnership with the European Parliament Liaison Office in Ireland, and the European Movement Ireland.
