Introduction of New Dublin Bus Service Welcomed

Dublin Bus

Frances Fitzgerald T.D.  has welcomed a recent announcement by Dublin Bus who introduced a new 66E route in Dublin Mid-West from January 20th 2019. The announcement is part of Dublin Bus’ overhaul of some of its scheduled routes. The new route will serve between Maynooth and Merrion Square, serving Glen Easton estate, Leixlip Village, Lucan, Liffey Valley Shopping Centre and the City Centre.   A modern, intuitive, efficient and responsive transport-service is integral to the success of the Greater Dublin Area. At present, Dublin Bus is the only public-transport option for most of my constituents with only a small population around the Red Cow and Saggart Luas stops and the Kildare Line rail line. “The unveiling of the 66E service will further extend the link between Dublin Mid-West and the City Centre – as well as the student-populated areas around Maynooth University. Furthermore, I am pleased that additional departure times have been scheduled for the local 25A, 25B, 66, 66A and 66B service. This will hopefully help to ease the capacity issues that a number of local commuters have raised with me in recent months.”
