Installation of Urban Art Project In Clondalkin

North Clondalkin Library

North Clondalkin Library commissioned a piece of Urban Art last year – in association with Contact Studio and courtesy of funding received from Creative Ireland.

Artist Hannah Creevy (of Free consulting) engaged with local schools and community groups during the process. The art piece has been installed on the outside fence of the junior garden in NCL and forms an eye-catching and striking display on approach to the library.  The design incorporates elements from the local area including Baldonnell, Collinstown Park, words of local spoken artist Natalya O’ Flaherty along with popular pursuits like horses & scooters. The idea behind the Urban Art piece is to create a sense of pride among locals in the North Clondalkin Area. A photo-op will take place shortly with local primary school children who participated in the project to allow them to look at their artwork.
