Independent Alliance Cllrs Submit Objection to Clonburris SDZ

Clonburris Lucan Clondalkin

Cllr Francis Timmons commented on the group objection submission to Bord Pleanala for Clonburris ”I alongside my community alliance colleagues – Cllr Liona O Toole and Cllr Guss O Connell have submitted a 16 page Objection (Appeal) to An Bord Pleanála on the Clonburris SDZ. While I voted for the SDZ due to the Housing crisis there was a number of issues that I was not happy with, I want us to learn from the bad planning of the past and not create more bad planning decisions, we need sustainable new communities”.

The issues included transport, parking, phasing of the SDZ and a Garda Station, Cllr Timmons added “it will now be for An Bord Pleanála to decide how sustainable Clonburris can be and how the plan works going forward. Currently, many areas of Clondalkin do not have Adequate Transport Links or facilities”.
