From World Travel To Home Travel

Palmerstown CC Maura Boyle Gold Finch

On the 2nd of June 2021 Herb Leventon from Brooklyn, a renowned travel photographer will present to Palmerstown Camera Club. Herb is Tour Coordinator with Epic Photo Tours in New York, USA and creates a more authentic and deeper photographic and travel experience.  He embeds you in tribal villages, leads you through a labyrinth of alleyways, brings you to a village ceremony. He gains you access to photograph in homes, markets and places of worship. He will immerse you in a culture that is far different than your own. He gets you access to people and places that are quite unique.  He prepares everything so that you capture exhibition quality images. Locations visited include Omo Valley, Ethiopia, Myanmar, Iran, Romania,Remote Rajasthan and Kolkata, India. Herb’s trips are not for the faint hearted.  Photographers who have gone on Herb’s trips say that it was a trip of a lifetime and they all say that they are amazing. Some have said that it was a life changing experience for them. Because of the COVID-19 Herb Leventon travelled the city of New York on a bicycle rather than abroad.  He captured images showing vacant streets, locked up premises, architecture and the changes taking place in human everyday life. Herbs images all tell a story.

On the 2nd June Herb Leventon will be showing Palmerstown Camera Club some of his images and giving tips on how to take them.
