Enterprise Rent-A-Car, has opened its latest branch in Ireland, at St Stephen’s Green shopping centre as part of its continued growth programme in the country. The Lord Mayor of Dublin, Caroline Conroy, officially opened the city centre branch, which is one of several openings planned for the coming year.
The St Stephen’s Green branch will create new jobs, including opportunities on Enterprise’s award-winning Graduate Management Trainee programme and will include two Car Club vehicles, which can be booked and accessed via an app at any time and rented by the hour or the day.
In the last 12 months Enterprise has grown its presence in Ireland by launching its Car Club service and expanding the commercial rental operation Flex-E-Rent.
Speaking on the launch of the St Stephen’s Green branch, Lord Mayor of Dublin, Caroline Conroy, said, ‘I am delighted to officially open the latest Enterprise branch here in the heart of the city. During my time as Lord Mayor and as an elected member of Dublin City Council, I have always placed an emphasis on the importance of investing in a sustainable and user-friendly transport system for our capital. Alongside public transport, shared car services play a vital part in creating a transport framework that serves the people of Dublin as well as those who visit our fair city.
‘Research in the UK has shown that every car club vehicle takes 20 private cars off the roads. And when we invest in electric carsharing, we decrease emissions and congestion even further. Services like the Enterprise Car Club offer a flexible solution for journeys, to help create a sustainable transport eco-system fit for a fast-paced and growing European city.’ she added.
Over the coming 12 months, along with the opening of the St Stephen’s Green branch, Enterprise will open a new branch in Cavan, and Castlebar, Co. Mayo, along with the relocation of its Pottery Road site to Stillorgan, Dublin. This will be in addition to the recent branch opening in Tallaght, Dublin.

‘Key to what we do is making sure sustainable, efficient, and reliable transport options are available to communities across Ireland, whether that’s arrivals into the country setting off to explore all that the island has to offer, or local businesses and residents who have short- or medium-term transport needs.
‘Opening and upgrading our branches in St Stephen’s Green, Tallaght, Stillorgan, Mayo and Cavan demonstrates our commitment to Ireland and to the employees that support us every single day.’
In 2021, Enterprise brought its flagship car sharing service Enterprise Car Club to Ireland with a fleet of more than 30 vehicles nationwide initially, including 16 on-street locations in Dublin city. Plans are underway to further grow the fleet in both branches and in rural and urban on-site locations across Ireland.
