Residents of Walkinstown have been urged to check their EuroMillions tickets last week after one lucky Dubliner won Friday night’s EuroMillions Plus top prize of €500,000. The winning Normal Play ticket was sold yesterday at the SuperValu store in Walkinstown, Dublin 12.

While the €67 million EuroMillions jackpot was won by a lucky player in the UK, there were also a massive 47,000 prize winners in Ireland including two winners of the Match 5 prize of €16,606. The winning tickets were bought at Lynch’s Foodstore in Tullyallen, Co. Louth and the Spar store in the Village Green in Tallaght, Dublin 24.

With so many Irish winners in last night’s EuroMillions draw, the National Lottery has reminded players that it has extended the period of time that lucky winners can collect prizes to encourage people to stay at home and not require them to make any unnecessary journeys during the current public health emergency.

This means that any lucky winners of Lotto and Lotto Plus, Lotto 54321, EuroMillions and EuroMillions Plus, Telly Bingo, Daily Millions and Daily Millions Plus draws from 9th January 2020 until draws in the week 5th July 2020 will have an extra three months in which they can claim their prize. The prize claims extension applies to winners who purchased their tickets and scratch card games in-store, online at www.lottery.ie and via the National Lottery App.

A spokesperson for the National Lottery said: “We encourage all of our EuroMillions players who purchased a ticket for Friday night’s draw to check their tickets carefully. If you are one of the lucky winners of any of last night’s big prizes, please sign the back of the ticket and contact our prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie , and we will make arrangements for you to collect your prize when it is safe to do so.”

Want to share that winning feeling? Play Lotto. Tonight’s Lotto jackpot is an estimated €9.8 million. And don’t forget if you can’t get to your local store you can play all your favorite National Lottery Games online at Lottery.ie or by using the National Lottery app.
