Dublin Fire Brigade launches partnership with ‘Oscar’s Kids’ charity

Oscars Kids

Dublin Fire Brigade (DFB) has launched a new partnership with a wonderful childhood cancer charity called ‘Oscar’s Kids’.

DFB has now set up the ‘Dublin Fire Brigade Oscar District’. For Oscar Kids Club members, the nominated child will become an honorary firefighter and member of the Dublin Fire Brigade Oscar District. Each child will receive a special certificate, some DFB goodies and also a specially commissioned medal.

DFB is proud to launch this new initiative to coincide with ‘Childhood Cancer Awareness Month’.

To officially launch the partnership, 4 children of various ages and their families who are part of Oscar’s Kids Club joined us at the DFB Training Centre in Marino where they had a go in a fire engine, attended an awards ceremony and had some refreshments afterwards.
