Clondalkin Bra Chain Initiative

Clondalkin Bra Initiative Cancer Fundraising
Cllr. Emer Higgins has congratulated Clondalkin sisters Lynn and Ann on their hugely successful ‘bra chain’ initiative which took place in Corkagh Park over the weekend.

“Ann McDonnell and Lynn Lee are a breath of fresh air. They are so creative and so committed to volunteering and I’m delighted that their day in Corkagh Park was another success. The two sisters have raised around €50,000 for charity over the past seven years. This years event was held to raise awareness and funds for Breast Cancer Research and it succeeded on both fronts. It was fantastic to be part of the event and amazing to see Corkagh’s main path lined with bras of all colours and sizes. There were some puzzled on lookers in the park but everyone was hugely supportive of the initiative and it was fantastic to see so many local women support this initiative. Well done to everyone who donated and congratulations to Ann and Lynn on their innovative fundraiser,” said Cllr. Emer Higgins.
