Clondalkin Handcraft & Horticultural Show

Clondalkin Handcraft & Horticultural Show
Chairperson of the Clondalkin Handcraft & Horticultural Show Cllr. Francis Timmons said “I am honoured to be the Chairperson of a great event that I attended when I was a kid. Clondalkin Handcraft & Horticultural Show had another great year in 2018 and is going from strength to strength. We won an award at the South Dublin County Council, Community Endeavour awards 2018, the Gradam Cultuir agus Oidreacht na hEireann (heritage and culture of Ireland award). So that’s a huge plus for the show, we were delighted to win this”.

Cllr Timmons commented “The 2019 show will be another two day event this year on the 29th June at Newlands Home & Garden Centre and 30th June at Aras Chronain. This will be our fifth year since the revival of the great and very popular community-based event that originally ran for 30 years, there is literally something for everyone and both days will have balloon making, face painting, free demonstrations and music so there is something for everyone, two busy family fun days”.

This show is a chance to showcase the great in Clondalkin and the wider county. This year there is no charge for children’s entries and they are also running free Workshops in Lucan, Tallaght and Clondalkin Libraries for Children – for more on this contact the Libraries. The committee hope to announce other workshops soon in the run up to this event. For more information search Clondalkin Handcraft & Horticultural Show on facebook.
