The annual event held in Clondalkin will return this June. The Clondalkin Handcraft & Horticultural Show celebrated a fantastic event in 2018 and will return on the 29th of June in Newlands Home & Garden Centre and on the 30th of June in Aras Chronain.
Cllr Francis Timmons, Chairperson said ‘’I am honoured to be the Chairman of a great event that I attended when I was a kid. Clondalkin Handcraft & Horticultural Show had another great year in 2018 and is going from strength to strength. We won an award at the South Dublin County Council, Community Endeavour awards 2018. the Gradam Cultuir agus Oidreacht na hEireann, this is the heritage and culture of Ireland award.  So that’s a huge plus for the show, we were delighted to win this’’. Timmons added ‘’The 2019 show will be another two day event this year on the 29th June Newlands Home & Garden Centre and 30th June (Aras Chronan) and this will be our fifth year since the revival of the great and very popular community-based event that originally ran for 30 years. There is literally something for everyone and both days will have balloon making, face painting, free demonstrations and music so there is something for everyone! Two family fun days’’. The local Clondalkin Cllr concluded ‘’This show is a chance to showcase what is great about Clondalkin and our wider county. This year there is no charge for Children’s entries and we are also running free Workshops in Lucan, Tallaght and Clondalkin Libraries for Children. We hope to announce other workshops soon in the run up to this event’’.
