Pure Telecom is delighted to announce that it has won Best Broadband (with or without landline) in front of an audience of over 250 people at the bonkers.ie National Consumer Awards 2018, held on Thursday, 8th February 2018, in The Round Room at the Mansion House, Dublin. The Citywest-based broadband and telecoms provider fought off stiff competition from fellow nominees, including Eir and Virgin Media, to collect the prestigious award. Following last year’s hugely successful inaugural event, the bonkers.ie National Consumer Awards returned to recognise and celebrate excellence in customer value and service across a range of categories including the very competitive best broadband sector.

The experienced judging panel of business leaders and experts, including Bobby Kerr, broadcaster and businessman, and Lucy Campbell, marketing director, RTÉ Digital, evaluated the extent to which companies offer great customer service and value.

On Pure Telecom’s Best Broadband award, the judging panel remarked: “Having mystery shopped all nominees, we found that Pure Telecom  has the best broadband service due to market-leading customer service, the latest download speeds, competitive, transparent pricing and a compelling range of product choices”.
The award follows a significant year of business growth and success for Pure Telecom, with the company announcing a €1.8M investment in the creation of 32 new jobs in 2017. Pure Telecom also agreed a €35M infrastructure deal with open eir last year, to reach and provide more broadband customers around Ireland with reliable broadband with speeds up to 1,000Mbps.

Speaking about the achievement, Paul Connell, CEO, Pure Telecom, said: “Winning Best Broadband is a massive achievement and it’s wonderful to receive recognition for the hard work done by each and every member of the Pure Telecom team. The bonkers.ie National Consumer Awards is a fantastic event and an important indicator to Irish customers of the companies that prioritise personal service and lower costs. “Customer care is at the heart of everything we do at Pure Telecom and we are incredibly proud of our commitment to providing transparent, low cost and flexible broadband to Irish consumers, backed up with first-class service and support. It remains our aim to reach 100,000 residential customers by 2019 and as we grow, it is crucial to us to continue to make our service a wow factor for our customers”.
