‘I hope this book brings to life the memories and achievements of those local heroes who have given us all so much enjoyment throughout the League of Ireland’s history’Graham Howard

The League of Ireland has many stories and tales that have remained largely hidden and unknown over more than ninety seasons. From European triumph and domestic dominance through to a gust of wind deciding a match result and nearly losing your job for scoring the winning goal. ‘A Fan for All Seasons’ brings us through the highlights and incidents of League of Ireland football and recalls the teams, players and characters that brought joy and excitement to fans around the country. Record goal scoring feats, broken goals, film stars, European adventures, Inter League games and financial folly are all covered as we relive the folklore and revive the memories of all that is best about the League of Ireland.

The book also focuses on the highlights of Shamrock Rovers and St Patrick’s Athletic’s great moments. The book is currently available on amazon and via kindle.

Graham Howard currently lives in Dublin with his wife and daughter. He has been watching Irish football for over 25 years and is in regular attendance at both. League of Ireland and Republic of Ireland international games. A Fan for All Season’s is a self-funded project and a self-published book and marks the first ever recording of League of Ireland history from 1921 to date.
