Local water supply secured now it’s back on the Ballymore Eustace line

Water Lucan Clondalkin Palmerstown

The water supply for Lucan and North Clondalkin is secured now that it has been returned to the Ballymore Eustace line, according to Fine Gael Cllr Emer Higgins. Cllr Higgins, who is running for the Dáil in the Dublin Mid-West bye election had requested the local water supply to be reconnected to the Ballymore Eustace line. “Many residents and businesses in Lucan and North Clondalkin had been affected by the recent water supply issues and that’s because our water was coming from the Leixlip plant. “This was not a sustainable situation for people in our local area and so I asked for us to be put back on to the Ballymore Eustace line. I am very pleased to confirm that this has happened and our water supply is secured once more. “It also means our water is soft again and so we will not have to experience the limescale build ups we had seen in recent times.

“I have been informed that this is a temporary move until the new year, but I want us to remain on the Ballymore Eustace supply line for good so that we don’t have to endure boil water notices and hard water. “Yesterday I spoke directly with the Minister responsible, my Fine Gael colleague Minister Eoghan Murphy, and I have made the case for a permanent connection to the Ballymore Eustace line for Lucan and North Clondalkin’s water supply.”
