Nine Medals For Team Ireland Kickboxing Athletes

Kickboxing Ireland Medal Winners

Kickboxing Ireland finished a very successful week at Senior WAKO World Championship in Portugal. The athletes took home nine medals, four gold, one silver and four bronze! Seven of the medals were taken home by one club, local club Tallaght Martial Arts (T.M.A.).

Gold for Jodie Browne from T.M.A. and retains her World Title and also holds the European title as well as world Combat Games Title and recently won bronze at European Olympic Games, the only person in history to hold all these simultaneously. 

Gold for Conor McGlinchey from T.M.A. who is a Quercus holder in UCC and European Olympic Games Silver medal winner. Stephen Jones from T.M.A. who is also a coach won gold. And Adam Condon took home gold in full contact and is also from T.M.A. Robbie Cuffe took home silver. Zak Riddell, Keri Browne (T.M.A.), Gar Ryan (T.M.A.) and Ann Marie O’Grady first time at the Worlds (T.M.A.) all won bronze respectively.
