New Gaelscoil Welcomes All Children

Gaelscoil Lir

Gaelscoil Lir is a multi-denominational, democratically run Irish medium primary school that opened for the first time this September. The school is currently accepting enrolments for 2022 and is open to all pupils, regardless of their ability, religion or home language. Gaelscoil Lir will also open a special class for children with autism in the coming weeks and is now accepting applications from families in Citywest, Saggart, Newcastle and beyond.

The co-educational primary school, which is under the Patronage of An Foras Pátrúnachta, is located on the same campus as Coláiste Pobail Fóla, facing the Saggart LUAS stop on Fortunestown Lane. Planning permission for a state-of-the-art building, which will permanently house Gaelscoil Lir has been granted and will soon go to tender.

Príomhoide, Sinéad Bheilbigh said; “We are off to a great start at Gaelscoil Lir and I feel very lucky to work with such a dedicated and talented staff. Our wonderful pupils bring joy to our school each day. I look forward to welcoming our new pupils in the weeks, months and years ahead.”
