Following on from a public consultation between 13th December 2018 to 14th January 2019, South Dublin County Council (SDCC) has removed a significant number of ramps in Clondalkin estates due to objections from residents. Clondalkin removed locations include Riversdale Road, Cappaghmore and St. Brigid Road. And some of the locations which will go ahead are R120 Main Street, Newcastle Village Bus Cushions, PL Column Broadfield Park Rathcoole and Ashwood Road Clondalkin.

According to Cllr Trevor Gilligan “Proposed locations are subject to funding, please contact me if you would like a full list of areas.” Cllr Gilligan concluded “I welcome the public consultation as a lot of residents were up in arms about the proposals, thinking they were a done deal. SDCC must know allocate funds & resources to this project. Residents in certain areas have been waiting years for these proposals.”
