Clondalkin Garda 100

The  Centenary celebrations of 100 years of the  Clondalkin  Garda Station took place recently with a very impressive Garda parade around the village led by the Air Corps Pipe Band, The  parade was followed by an afternoon Open Day at the garda station where members of the public, adults and children alike mingled with the Gardai and their various equipment, Equestrian Group, Lifeboat, Traffic controllers, etc, etc. Tours of the station office and cells were conducted throughout the afternoon also. Presentations were made to the winners of the children’s art competition. and the Clondalkin Youth Band provided musical enjoyment for everybody throughout the afternoon.
